Movie freak OR freaked movies!!!

I am not a movie addict or movie freak gal, but I do watch movies sometimes. The last movie I watched was” NO ENTRY”, people won’t find it a good movie, because it’s another funny and humorous movie, with all the hubby-wife funny stuff, wives suspecting their husbands and husbands cheating their wives...
Well I am not going to discuss all that here; I watched a movie called SHABD few months back, in that movie the hero sent his wife to another guy, just to write a book on a real love story. That poor gal did what her husband wanted her to do, just to please him, when she almost fell for that guy, the husband began to get jealous and wanted her to come back, ridiculous!!! What the heck!!!
If I was in her shoes I would have kicked him and divorced him, but no!!! She is an Indian girl!!! How can I forget that, pati-vrata, sati-savitri .And how can a girl go against rituals and culture and wedding oaths!!! She has to serve her husband till death ... and, she has to go back to husband, no matter how he is, what he does!!!
Movies like this really freak me out.
Another movie was BEWAFAA , hated the end like anything , the girl in the movie sacrificed her love , dreams ,future for her sisters kids and married her bro-in-law . For the 3 yrs of the marriage he never looked at her, then suddenly she met her old lover and all old feelings started arousing again and she felt she still loves him. Then the hubby darling after 3 years recognized that he is not fair towards her and should love her and treat her as a wife, because she has done so many scarifies for him and his children, and what happens next???

She was asked to decide whether she wanted to go with her lover or wanted to stay back with her husband .As he was ready to change. So she decided to stay with her hubby!!! the guy, who didn’t even look at her for past 3 yrs. What a great Indian lady.....This is not what we girls are; this is actually what men want us to be!!
Well every 1 have their own way of thinking, but stories like this really freak me out and I think humorous movies are much better then shitty movies like SHABD and BEWAFA...

Nazar Lag Jayegi !!!!!

Few days back I was talking to one of my friend, and he started staring at me, was feeling unconfortable and said will you stop staring at me like that: NAZAR LAG JAYEGI, bass !!!! Got the idea of this post.
I still remember when i was small and ever fall sick my mom used to do so many things, those were funny beliefs but she still did it innocently ... like:

1: taking 7 red chillies and making 7 circles around my head and throwing it in the fire saying: BURI NAZAR WALE KI NAZAR AAG MAIN JALE (all the evil should burn in fire)

2: keeping a glass full of water under my bed, saying evil spirits are scared of water.

3: tying a black thread around my wrist after doing pooja, saying God will protect me from all evils and illness.

4: Mixing 7 types of cereals and feeding birds and ants, saying these animals take all our pains n illness.

5: giving mustard oil to saints on Saturdays, saying it brings more prosperity and good health.

6: making "langar" (food) and giving it to poor people, saying they give blessing and don’t know when and where some of the blessing comes true.

7: She used to put a black teeka(spot )on my forehead or behind my ear to save me from evil when I was a kid.

8: she used to tie a lime with 7 green chillies with a thread and hang it on the door, saying it protect the house from evil, specially during festivals, i have seen ppl tie this on their shops and working places too ... so there must be some logic behind it !!!!

These were some of the things my mom did regularly, and still she does it sometimes: p, maybe there is some logic behind all these things or it’s just a belief. I think she is the BEST MOM in the world who always wants the best for her children

I asked few of my friends about Hospice , but no 1 know about it .I hope you all will find it intresting.This was the topic of my lecture class today i am just pasting some of important points here .

what is hospice ??

.Hospice is a special concept of care designed to provide comfort and support to patients and their families when a life-limiting illness no longer responds to cure-oriented treatments.

.Hospice care neither prolongs life nor hastens death. Hospice staff and volunteers offer a specialized knowledge of medical care, including pain management.

.The goal of hospice care is to improve the quality of a patient's last days by offering comfort and dignity.

.Hospice care is provided by a team-oriented group of specially trained professionals, volunteers and family members.

.Hospice deals with the emotional, social and spiritual impact of the disease on the patient and the patient's family and friends.

.Hospice offers a variety of bereavement and counseling services to families before and after a patient's death.

.Hospice addresses all symptoms of a disease, with a special emphasis on controlling a patient's pain and discomfort.

History ::::
The word "hospice" stems from the Latin word "hospitium" meaning guesthouse. It was originally used to describe a place of shelter for weary and sick travelers returning from religious pilgrimages.

Hospice is the "something more" that can be done for the patient and the family when the illness cannot be cured. It is a concept based on comfort-oriented care. Referral into hospice is a movement into another mode of therapy, which may be more appropriate for terminal care.

Hospice care is special because families and friends are able to offer critical support while a patient experiences the very difficult process of dying. However, the terminally ill often feel a sense of abandonment when they choose hospice, because the loved ones who should be supporting the dying are not sure of how to express themselves.

Hospice care is a choice you make to enhance life for a dying person. A person with a terminal disease may choose to die at home with the support of family, friends, and caring professionals. Hospice care emphasizes comfort measures and counseling to provide social, spiritual and physical support to the dying patient and his or her family. All hospice care is under professional medical supervision.Traditional care emphasizes the use of medical interventions, hospitalization and drugs to cure or control disease. Traditional care may involve aggressive and expensive high-tech medicine. The traditional approach is appropriate, when cure is possible. It may also be the choice, when cure is not possible.The physical pain comming from a terminal illness may be frightening and hospice have the skills to permit persons to live a pain-free ,comfortable and as full a life as possible.It aslo provide social and spiritual support for the patients and family which includes personal care , nutrition , counseling , grief counseling and help with funeral arrangments.

Hospice is being practiced in all europian countries n also in United States.I am not sure its in India aslo . But this is really nice way of treating our loving 1 , who dont have any survival chances by giving them a house environment in the last stage.

I just wanted to give the imformation about Hospice to them who never heard about it, hope you all liked it .

A Confession

I remember I was 14 yrs old when one of my cousin sister eloped with her boyfriend and married him. Me n Depti ( my cousin sister) were very good friends. She was 19 at that time, she met a guy in a party n was madly in love with him. Her father came to know about her, and that night there was a big scene at her place .Depti was a strong girl and refused to listen to my Uncle. Even my mom tried hard to make her understand but she won’t listen to any 1. And after a big discussion they decided to find a guy for her .

That’s it!!!!!!! Naren (Deptis hubby) was in Calcutta , i called him and told him what’s happening . He came to my town after 3 day. We made a plan .After 2 days Depti ran away with him. Now she is married with 2 kids and very happy .Naren is a damn good hubby , even my uncle could never had found a better guy then him. My family don’t have any contacts with her. They declared her dead :( and no one is allowed to take her name .That’s a sad part :( .

But sometimes I think , how will my family react if they came to know I helped her , I m so scared of my Uncle , maybe hez going to kill me !!!!!. Even my mom wont forgive me for this .But on other hand when I see Depti happy , I think what I have done was perfectly fine and right thing .But deep in my mind I always feel sorry for my Uncle n Aunty, they cried so much, specially her mom. She badly miss her , I wanted to tell her many times that shez fine but somehow I stop myself , and I don’t know how long will I keep this secret within me :( .I hope what I did was right .

IS OLD AGE A CURSE ?

I did my studies in psychiatric nursing, and right now I am working with old people who are suffering from a disease called DEMENTIA.
Dementia: "Deterioration of intellectual faculties, such as memory, concentration, and judgment, resulting from an organic disease or a disorder of the brain. i have been raise in a culture where we have learned to respect our parents and take care of them, whole life we live together and have a strong parents-children bond, but here in western countries the life is so busy that neither parents nor children get time for each other .No wonder why I am so scared of being old , have seen many bitter facts during my study life and even now everyday I face these bitter facts.
I have a patient named Odvar Lind , he is 72 yrs old , his wife died of cancer many yrs back and left him and his son alone , due to lack of care his son went on drugs and this old man became alcoholic , and the result he started losing his memory , liver function decreased , and started having brain disorders ,epilepsy falls etc .. He ended into my ward, he is so sensitive man, he can’t speak, he lost his talking power & when he talks all we hear is blabbering.
There is a lady named Othilia , she is 98 yrs old & suffering from Alzheimer’s Dementia, she had 3 daughters n 2 sons . Poor lady , she is here from 3 yrs now ,& her children visit her 2 or 3 times in a yr, according to her personal history, she was a widow & raised her children all alone , she was a wonderful mother , but what she got in return ???
when ever I get chance I use to sit with them , talk to them , share their feelings , ask them questions , they r like some mines .... The deeper u dig the more u gets.They r just normal human beings as we r but the only difference is that they lost their memory due to various circumstances or disorders or due to genetic heritage. I literally cry sometimes when they so innocently come & ask questions like:-
When is my wife coming to visit me??
Is my son here or he will come later??
Where is my mom?
Can I go to my mom?
When can I go home?
Can u help me??
These are some common questions asked by them, & they ask these questions various times a day .......... they don’t even remember that they asked the same Q just few seconds be4. No matter they don’t remember anything happened recently but still they remember their family n all loving ones & miss them .At a point when they cant bear missing them , they start acting crazy , get aggressive ,just for attention seeking.
Are we so busy that we cant even spent 1 day in a month with our parents , they showed us this world, they thought us how to live , how to smile , eat, earn , guided us to the right path of living. I just wonder sometimes, should one be happy that he/she getting older ... going from 1 generation to another ... watching his/her arms growing n spreading OR get scared of being old like ME.
Is old age a curse or it’s a wonderful stage of life???

My Country : My Dream Come True



When i was in 10 th grade, once v went to Kullu Manali , Dehradoon & Shimla for a trip , i still remember how excited i was to c the mountains n falls n rivers, its was like soooooooo romantic .And when i came back home i asked my mom innocently , y cant v too have a home on hills ? Mom replied coz v belong here.Still that question was always in my mind , n i always wanted to be on some hills n mountains . Dreams do come true sometimes , here i m!!! in 1 of the worlds most beautful country, which is know as a land of midnight sun n a land of natural fallz n ponds.The mountain above u c is named GAUSTA TOPPEN http://www.vulkaner.no/v/volcan/gausta.html. its one of the highest mountain in norway , n on the top there is a small tourist spot, all the way up u have to climb, there is no way built just a small rough way which is marked to show the direction of climbing. I was the only india gal n rest all my norwegian friends.V all were so tired, it was raining n there was still some snow around. It took 5 hours for us to climb up. I m so proud to say i was the 1st indian gal who went up there n signed in a guest book. The pics below r from the place where i live , nearby my home 10 mins walking distance, its a small lake, really cool place for picnic.When ever i feel low i use to go there n sit n watch birds n butterflies n i forget everything . So have a look........

Good thing is that my room is in basement but still poor my floor.
